Resuming autopilot without a replay
Picking up where you paused, without double-sending dunning emails.
When you pause autopilot, in-flight sequences hold their state. When you resume, they don't restart from scratch.
How it works
Each customer has a dunning-sequence pointer. The day they're on in their cadence. Pausing freezes the pointer; resuming advances it from the frozen point, not from day 0.
The practical effect
If a customer is on day 5 of dunning when you pause, and you resume 3 days later, they get the day-8 email next. Not a fresh day-0 email. No duplicate sends.
Edge case: long pauses
If you pause for more than 14 days, customers past their normal sequence end get skipped. They don't receive a stale "please update your card" email three weeks after the fact.
